AC installation for the unit you bought, not the one we’d mark up
Bought a central air conditioner online, or about to? Our licensed technicians install customer-purchased AC systems throughout Greater Houston for a flat, upfront price.

Professional AC installation, without the equipment markup
In Houston, your air conditioner works harder than almost anywhere in the country. That makes two things critical: the right system, and an install done correctly. Most AC failures and efficiency losses trace back to installation, not the equipment itself.
We focus entirely on the installation. You buy the condenser and matching coil at retail, saving the 40–100% markup many contractors charge, and we install it to manufacturer specifications and local code.
What’s included in every AC install
- Free pre-purchase equipment approval and sizing review
- City permit and inspection where required
- Safe removal, refrigerant recovery and haul-away of your old system
- New pad, electrical disconnect and whip; line set replaced or flushed as needed
- Evaporator coil install with secondary drain pan and float safety switch
- Nitrogen-purged brazing, standing pressure test and deep vacuum (measured in microns)
- Refrigerant charge verified by superheat / subcooling to manufacturer spec
- Startup, airflow and temperature-split check, thermostat setup and walkthrough
- Install documentation and help registering your manufacturer warranty
AC systems we install
We install most major brands of residential split-system air conditioners sold to homeowners, from budget-friendly single-stage units to two-stage and variable-speed inverter systems. Common setups include:
- AC condenser + evaporator coil (with an existing or new gas furnace)
- AC condenser + electric air handler with heat strips
- Packaged units (all-in-one) for homes without an indoor unit
- Condenser-only replacements, when the existing coil is compatible and in good shape
Thinking of replacing just the outdoor unit?
Newer systems use R-454B or R-32 refrigerant. Older R-22 and many R-410A coils aren’t compatible, so mixing old and new usually means lower efficiency, comfort problems or a voided warranty. Send us your existing model numbers and we’ll tell you what makes sense.
How much does AC installation cost?
Our install price depends on the system size, indoor unit location (attic installs take more time than closets), and whether your line set, electrical or ductwork need updates. You get a flat-rate written quote before you buy anything. See our pricing page for a breakdown of how homeowners save.
AC installation FAQs
What size AC do I need for my home?
It depends on more than square footage: insulation, windows, sun exposure, ceiling height and ductwork all matter. As a very rough guide, many Houston-area homes land between 1 ton per 500–650 sq ft, but we always verify sizing during your free equipment approval rather than guessing.
Can you reuse my existing line set?
Sometimes. If the line set is the correct size, in good condition and accessible, we can flush and pressure test it. If it’s undersized, damaged or was used with an incompatible refrigerant setup, we’ll recommend replacing it and include that in your quote.
Do I need a new coil with a new AC?
Almost always, yes. Manufacturers rate efficiency and warranty coverage on matched systems, and new refrigerants typically require a matching coil. We’ll confirm what your setup needs.
